12. Come we now to the last of these clouds:
the list is covered by it. At this last item comes a
classification and division of the whole set of rights: of
all the rights which we as Englishmen are in possession of.

them comprized, viz. namely the primary, and the
secondary: subspecies of the primary, three – namely the
three we have just seen: subspecies of the secondary,
called also the subordinate, five.

Now then of those same things which according to him are so many species of right,
two groups may be distinguished: the first composed of no fewer four three
no one of which is according to his same self a right:
after which comes two, and no more than two, which, according
to him, are rights.

The rights which according to him are and
are not rights (for on speaking of them he has changed
the word rights, nor would he have found it
a very easy matter of connect with them that same word
with them) are 1. The Constitution and power of
Parliament; 2. the Limitation of the King's prerogative;
3. the regular administration of justice: of this same
admission administration the use or object is (so he
tells us in parenthesis) "to vindicate them when
"actually violated". Them? what them? The last
antecedent subjects are – that same Constitution and
Limitation we have just seen: subject matter in the description
of which, no such word as right is the word right is not employed: while
in the description of the following one it is employed: that
