Clusters or groupes of rights or obligations
§. 3. Condition in life
A condition in life By a condition in life understand the efficient
cause of commencement to a cluster of legal effects
consisting of benefits i.e. rights and power, or burthens
or of benefits and burthens in conjunction.
It will accordingly upon the whole be neither
beneficial or burthensome to the amount of the difference in respect
in value below the aggregate of the one and the aggregate
of the other.
One and the other condition in life may to the
occupant be beneficial upon the whole or burthensome upon
the whole, according at different times according to circumstances.
Correspondent to every condition in life is a certain
fictitious or say figurative situation. Of the possession acquisition
of the benefits and the subjection to the burthens
attached to that same situation, entrance into that
same situation is the demarcation given to that same
efficient cause.

the several conditions and correspondent situations in life.
☞ Numbered among the conditions in life may be those regarding
foreignership &c: and those which constitute the subject matter of the Particular Codes.
According as the net account is considered as
on the side of beneficialness or on the side of burthensomeness
the appellation denomination applied to the act of entrance will
be acquisition or thing some equivalent expression; or
imperative or subjective or say expression thereto equivalent to it.
