Of Conditions in life
§. 1. Generative
Expositive
Art. 1. By a condition in life, understand
an incorporeal subject matter of possession, distinguish by the
possession of which it being designated by an appropriate name, a person
is subjected to a cluster of obligations, is put into the possession of a cluster of rights,
or at the same time subjected to the one and
put into possession of the other: the use of which
obligations and rights the nature will be seen in
proportion as the several different conditions in life
present themselves to view.
Expositive
Conditions in life receive as follow division and distinction
from various sources.
Division 1st. Private Public conditions in life and Public conditions
in life. Public conditions in life are those occupied by
the several public functionaries belonging to the several
departments and sub-departments of Government.
Private conditions in life are either 1. domestic,
or 2. extra-domestic.
Domestic conditions are either 1. Genealogical,
or 2. Non-genealogical.
Genealogical are those of 1. Husband and Wife
2. Parent and Child or say immediate offspring.
Non genealogical are those of 1. Guardian and Ward,
2. those of Master and Servant.
