Constitut. Code
The shape in which they furnish employ and administer
the matter of corruption is laudation lectured over the rulers.
Laudation by which they corrupt in their favour the
Public Opinion Tribunal of which their corruption are leading
number corrupting not only judicatory guarding power by seducing the
deluding and seducing the understanding judgment of its members.
Not that there is any harm in the gratification thus produced:
as gratification proportioned to the magnitude, intensity and of the gratification, and
number of those who by whom it is enjoyed, they have their
gratification obtained by the many produce of depredation
committed exercised in all its civil shapes, at on and at the expence
of the body of the people: against the gratification taken by itself nothing
could be to be said: nothing could be said, if the person at those expence
it is reaped obtained were the individuals and those alone only, by
whom the gratification is reaped.
