Art. VI. Declaration to be taken by every [Judge (f)]
every time he receives his salary pay:

I, A. J. solemnly declare, that since the last time
of my receiving pay, I have not at any time, during
any juridical hours hour, been absent from the duty of my office,
except during the days herein below mentioned under
letter A, nor absent from the judgement-seat, except
the days herein below mentioned under the letter B.
when I was not upon duty, at the places, in the cases,
and for the purposes mentioned.

Public Evidence of Atendance
Art. VII. A copy of every such declaration, signed
by the [Judge (g)] shall, on that same day in which
it was made, be hung up, in a conspicuous manner,
near the judgement-seat, there to remain till
the next quarter-day.

Art. VIII. A [Judge (h)] is to be understood to
have been absent from duty on any day, if, in the
course of that day, he has not been sitting at least
[one hour]; and if, during the rest of the day, he
has not been within [an hour's] call of the judgement-seat,
except when out upon distant duty:
word being left with [ ] where he was to be found.

Distant Duty
Art. IX. – [Judges (i)] of immediate judicatories
are also bound to go upon such distant duty, in cases of necessity,
at all hours in manner hereinafter specified.
