§.16. Religion Minister, none

Art. This In the Legislative Executive Department
there is no Sub-department for the business of religion. This
Constitution takes no cognizance of any opinion on the subject
of religion. It allows of no reward at the public expence punishment for advocavo
for advocating any particular opinion on the subject of religion. It allows of no punishment for ad--vocating any particular opinion on the subject of religion.
It leaves to each individual, upon hearing such argument
as he chooses to hear, to decide for himself, on each occasion,
what opinion has truth on its side.

What is true will be sure to be embrace of all declaration
of opinion be left alike f neither punished nor rewarded,
It never will be embraced of them so long as there is be any opinion which is
