Under proposed codes
care taken that Judge
in pursuing his own
interest may havemeet
with effectual obstruction
in opposing the greatest
happiness of the greatest
number.
That which mankind may stand perfectly assured of is - that
under the present Code of made law as under every other, by the
in his several classes and grades his own interest in any pertent shape
and in particular in the shape if case will be pursued and
to the utmost of his power whatsoever become of the greatest happiness
of the greatest number. Of the proposed Code in this or in any
other part the object is accordingly so to order masters that in this
present of his one interest in these several shapes at the expence
of the greatest happiness of the number this facility to difficulty to experience may be
maximized minimized, and the facility give to thing for the effectual obstruction
of all such endeavours minimized.
