Art. 1. To every Judge immediate belongs the self
Suppletive function: otherwise called the power of deputation,
& the obligation of exercising it.
Art. 2. In the exercise of this power the principal
locates Deputes of two sorts — permanent & occasional.
As to the permanent see Ch. XIV: as to the occasional
Ch. XV.
Art. 3. In the case of this office, the principal
is not as in the case of the office of Prime Minister &
Minister, restricted to the nomination of one Depute.
The quantity of business not being till after long experience
open to calculation, &, being at all times exposed
to fluctuation, no direct limits are put to the number
of Deputes, permanent or occasional, locable in this office.

other arrangements see §.10: Locable who Ch. XIV: Judges
Immediate Depute permanent §.6. Remuneration.
Art. 4. In each Immediate Judicatory within
( ) days after his own location, the Judge first located
under this Code will locate one Depute permanent:
others as need arises.
