Art. 1. The pay of a Judge Immediate whether Immediate or
Appellate is [ ] per day
Art. 2. It is paid to him or his Depute. [+] [+] on each day the pay
of that day and no more.

Art. 3. It is paid by the Registrar or his Depute.

Art. 6. If neither Judge nor Judge's Depute be at that time
present, the pay of that day reverts to the public: the
Registrar remains charged with it.
Art. 7. In the Weekly Register, as per §.20 Art. 8: the receipt is acknowledged by
the initials of the Rreceiver's name, written by his own hand:
at the time of the receipt, the letter R is added.
Art. 8. On the last pay day of every quarter of the year of his service the Judge receives on
the Judgment Seat the pay of his relax regular relaxation days, included in that quarter: and on
the last day of every
year, that of his
chosen relaxation days.
Art. 89. At the charge, or by favor, of no one other
than the state, as per Article 1 case the Judge lawfully receive
money or money's worth or benefit in any shape, on account
of any thing done or forborne, or expected to be done or
forborne by him, by means of his official situation.
Received from unwilling hands, it would be extortion;
from willing ones, corruption. So likewise in the case of
a Judge Depute.
Art. 3. Art. 10 From money or money's worth, received to
the use not of the Judge himself, but of this or that
person connected with him by this or that line tie of
interest, self regarding or sympathetic, the benefit
accruing to the Judge, thence also the corruptive effect
produced in his mind, may be of any magnitude,
not exceeding that which it would be of,
if received by the Judge to his own use: nor would
any participation, on the part of the Judge, be always
necessary to the production of that effect.
Yet for the act of any such other person, to inflict
punishment on the Judge, would be or unjust and
highly mischievous: injustice giving to other it would give to persons
at large in an indefinite number, the power of donating consigning
to poverty and infamy, functionaries in any number,
whose conduct in that situation had been pure of blame.
But, if, of any act done by a Judge, the justice be to a certain
degree dubious, benefit in any shape or promise thereof conditional or unconditional, received by any connection of
his

or help to form a ground
for appeal; with or without
dislocation, and
with or without punishment and and
in the
name of punishment
in case of participation compensation to party or parties injured
proved at the hands of the Justice Minister
in case of participation proved.
