Why ground the
system on expectation
of gratuitous service
whatever
1 Not gratuitous
in expectancy
2 Evidence of relish
maximized
3 Frugality maximized
Question. Why take as and for part and ground of the
system the expectation of gratuitous service?
Reasons.
1. Though gratuitous in possession, it is not so in expectancy
2. By the present proposed gratuitousness probative force of the evidence
of relish for the occupation maximized: thence in so far as depends
upon inclination appropriate aptitude, scientific, judicial
active, and even moral, probabilized.
3. Expence minimized or say frugality maximized.
