From all this what are the practicable inferences which
reason dictates? Is it that no such profession ought not to be
tolerated? No such thing. To refuse to tolerate it an individual instance without number would be to give
to injustice a certainty of success: to subject the weak to the
tyranny of the wicked.

What then are the inferences? They are these here.
1. In no instance to locate to suffer to be locate in the situation of a Judge, any person
then in in this or any way habituated to the endeavour to give support
and success to falshood and injustice.

2 No weight to be given
to lawyers opinion as to
justice or injustice

2. In any mode where the difference between justice and
injustice is concerned, to give any weight to the declared opinion
of any person so habituated, any otherwise than on account of
and in proportion to such reasons as in support of such his
opinion are adduced.

3 Not to expect from
a lawyer the same
regard to truth as from
another man

of a a person so habituated to expect the same as great a regard to truth,
as at the hand, of another a man not engaged in that same
