☞ 26 Nov. 1825 Consult this for the purpose of

§.9. Checks. Securities for good conduct.

Art. 1. Exceptions excepted, to the situation of
Judge Depute permanent apply all the several
checks which apply to the situation of Judge principal.

Art. 2. Exceptions are
1. Those the application of which is confined to locability
as to the situation of Judge principal namely
1. 2. 3. 10.

For obviating partiality by reason of seductive
connection, in the case of the Judge principal, migration
from territory to territory is among the means
employed. This not being applicable to a Judge Depute,
no adequate motives for submitting to it applying to
his case. Best the same purpose is accomplished, by
the power which the Judge principal has of forbearing
to give cognizance to any Depute in whose instance exposure
to the cause of partiality has place.

Art 3. Checks Art. 9. Additional Securities, are not applying to the situation of this
principal, and only to that of the Depute, are the following

1. Power of the principal to make general regulations
as to the distribution of business between Depute and
Depute as per §.2. Art 1.

2. Power to a party to apply to Depute permanent
to make reference to the Judge principal, as to this
or that particular point: as per §.2. Art. 6. and in case
of his refusing or omitting so to so, to apply to the
Judge principal for that same purpose.

3. Dislocability of the Depute by the principal,
as per §.2.
