Peculiar habitiments
meant as instrument
of discrimination alone

Art. 1. As instruments of discrimination, not as
sources of respect traps to catch respect are peculiar habitiments a
here meant to be allotted to judicial functionaries.

Discrimination not
distinction — distinction
being ambiguous

1. As instruments of discrimination: by the
word distinction an idea a conception opposite to that intended
might have been conveyed: for in the English language
distinction though originally meaning nothing more
than discrimination, is come to denote a sense of respect.

Instruments of discrimination
to facilitate
judicial inspection on
the part of casual visitors.

As instruments of discrimination, that each this
on every occasion each by every other actor in the
judicial theatre, casual visitors included in the character
of Judicial Inspectors may at first glance be seen to be in respect
of profession official situation or occupation what he is, and not supposed
regarded as being in any such respect
what he is not.

By this means whosoever has need of service in any
shape at the hands of a person functionary member of belonging to
any one of these classes sees at once and without loss of time in enquiry or danger of

At the same time, with equal rapidity if any
departure deviation from the line of conduct appropriate course of action belonging to each actor on the scene should
in the instance of any one of these, with equal rapidity, observation may be made of it by
every other.
