§.17. Power of Deputation
or
Self-Suppletive function

§.20.17 Power of Deputation or Self-Suppletive Function

Art. 1. To a Local Headman, as to a Minister,
belongs the power of deputation, or say with reference
to such his situation the Suppletive function, together
with the obligation of keeping it in exercise.

Art. 2. For the carrying on the business without interruption,
immediately on being , the principal provides
a written instrument, whereby some person, at his
choice, is constituted his Depute permanent. The instrument marked
with the year, month, and day of the month, is signed by
the principal, and in token of assent, by the depute.

Art. 3. Exemplars, four: to wit

1. Kept in the Register Office of the Bissubdistrict, one
2. Kept by the Locator, one.
3. Kept by the Locatee, one.
4. Transmitted to the Office of the Prime Minister, one
5 Transmitted to the Office of the Army Minister, one.
6 Transmitted to the Office of the Navy Minister, one.
7 Transmitted to the Office of the Prevention Service Minister, one.
8 Transmitted to the Office of the Indigence-Relief Minister, one.
9 Transmitted to the Office of the Foreign Relation Minister, one.
10 Transmitted to the Office of the Immediate Judicatory Registrar, one.

Art. 4. For the cases, in which, to provide for a sudden
emergency the instruments whereby Local Headman deputes
occasional may, in unlimited number be valid without their signature
see Ch. IX. Ministers collectively, §.5. Suppletive
function — Art. 3.4.

Art. 5. For damage, produced to the service, by the for want
of the due exercise of this function, the functionary is punitionally,
as well as satisfactionally and dislocationally, responsible.
By acceptance of the function he contracts for the apt and sufficient
performance of the duties attached to it.
