§.10. VIII Sedative function.

Art. 1. VIII Sedative function. For quelling commotions, or In case of need,
subject to the authority of the Judge of the Immediate Judicatory
for quelling commotions, each Headman throughout his
territory, has the same powers, and duties as the Judge
has in his judicatory, and within the his Subdistrict
territory as per the XI. Judiciary collectively §. Sedative
function.

Art. 2. On every such occasion, the Headman has
under his command every person belonging to the Resident
branch of the Military Army and Navy Service as per Ch. X. (a)

Note (a)

(a) ☞ what is said as to the Judge's sedative function, and its
whether any exception or other amendments are requisite.
So also, whether any arrangements are necessary, to obviate
conflicts of authority, as between Headman and off
in case of commotion, as also between Headman and the
functionary belonging to the Stipendiary branch of the Army and Navy Services.
