6. Art. 7. Objection 1. True in case of
dissatisfaction with his
conduct sole remedy demand of redress
from the Immediate Judicatory:
i.e. litigation
Answer But litigation from the
benefit of which no
one would be excluded
by the expence.

Art. 10. [True it is that] of supposing with the management of this functionary
— the Headman of his territory or any party interested were
dissatisfied, appeal recourse to the Immediate Judicatory of the
Subdistrict would be the only remedy. Here then would be litigation.
But in respect of vexation and expence, what a contrast
such litigation would make with that litigation which has
place in the established English will have been seen may be seen
in the Outline of a Procedure Code.

Art. 8. Objection 2. True, different
portions of the property
may be in different Local
Registrars territories:
thus proportionally multiplied
litigation
But Answer 1. This a
case comparatively rare
2. To exclude it so will depend
on the proprietor
3. No difficulty in each
Registrar's taking this care
— of the effects within his
territory

True it is again that in here and there a case the
aggregate of the effects of the deceased will be in a state of division
one portion in the territory of one Headman, another in that
of another: nor to the possible number of those separated portions
can any determinate limit be assigned: whereas under
the English system there are but two offices in the whole kingdom
between which the site of the effects in question can be shared.

But under the here proposed system if there be as many as
two it will still be a comparatively rare case: and
whatever be the it will be the cause will be in the
nature of things and of the disposition which the it had pleased
the proprietor to make of such his property In this case as in the other of The sums near
-at-hand the benefit would be enjoyed in this case as in the
other though in this case the case would be shared among functionaries more
than one.
