THEFT. Bacon Abs.

The Author of the article Felony in the Abridgment
of the Law which goes by the name of Bacon's
has advanced a conjecture to account for these this class
of
exceptions, which is more ingenious than it is well
supported. He supposes that nothing Theft was punished
with death only in Camps and that therefore it was for that reason
that
nothing but what could come into camps either as
provisions or as furniture would subject the stealer
of it to that punishment. It might be sufficient a
sufficient answer to his conjecture (which is specified carried on
in the form of a positive assertion & brought in without hesitation and placed regularly in front of every
separately regularly to account for every article, in such a particularly article of doctrine, or it is had the samevouchers
manner that a reader would suppose it vouched by as that which)

any ancient testimony whether brought in proof of it
