Ch. Of the false end created by corresponding to the sinister interest of the Judge.
§.

The personal interest which any individual in the character of a
legislator ever have in adding to the evils opposite to the ends of
justice being conf nearly confined to the case of taxes
upon justice, the consideration of the false ends corresponding
to the general and sinister end of the legislator will be
confined to the chapter on that subject.

At At present let us consider speak of the most active and
efficient of all corruptive efficient of all principles of corruption that could have applied to the present case: viz. the sort of sinister interest to the actions of which while
sinister interests: that which the Judge has been permitted to
give himself with
occupied in the formation and development of the existing systems of procedure the Judge has happened to be exposed: the sinister interest, to which was attached the its corresponding false end, augmentation
of the personal advantage of the Judge.

On this head three five subjects of inquiry invite our action.

1. Cause of corruption in the existing system of procedure: – siister interest on the part of the authors.

2. In what ways the operation and tendency of the sinister
interest is such as seen in opposition to every end all the ends of justice,
to prompt recommend him to a course line of conduct, the effect of which
has been to give birth to every one without exception of the
evils opposite to those ends.

2. Interest which the authors of those systems had in the loading it in
as high a degree as possible with the evils opposite to the ends of justice.

2. Opposition of that interest to the several ends of justice.

3. In what ways in different countries under circumstances
more or less different the opportunity faculty power of perjury
with success safety and success the dictates the trade of this sinister interest has passed
from the hands of the legislator into the those of the Judge.

6. How for the mismanagement misconduct of the Judge in that respect is
to be referred to the action of this sinister interest and thence
to a vitious state of the will how far to a weakness intellectual imbecillity in the
state of the intellectual faculties.+ + ☞ This can not be discussed as yet? It depends on the arrangements themselves.

4. In what particular shapes and through what particular channels
the sinister and undue advantage in question is capable of finding its way to the bosom
or coffers of the Judge.
