§. 7. IV. Of the Religious Sanction.

IX. In the fourth and last place comes the religious sanction.

Under every religion, what is but natural, is –
that, to every important purpose, whether it be from legal
operation or from any other source its that the importance be or the purpose is
deviant, Under any religion it is natural that the the religious sanction should, with its whole force,

if every religion is natural that the satisfaction should

be made to operate, in every legal or otherwise important purpose in restraint of mendacity: – in restraint of deceptitious incorrectness
and incompleatness. The influence of the

In the religion of Moses, and in the religion of Jesus,
