Accommodation Office The same dealers had confined themselves from
the time of their opening shop not to let any justice
go out of it, till a but what a Jury had stood
by and measured. Whatever was measured out
was to be measured in a day, for the a Jury's could
patience could hold out no longer. But the sort
of Justice that men require for complex causes
is oftentimes not to be measured out in a day,
nor in two days, nor in many days. These
Justice-mongers could therefore sell no Justice
that was fit for complex causes.
It is not necessary to go any further in specifying
the sorts of wares that are necessary to
make up a compleat assortment for such a shop
and which these shop-keepers who were stupid
and timid and ignorant, could not or would not
deal in.
This finer sort of ware which the Chancellor
called Equity though sold by him as it is now still
at the Monopoly-price natural to new inventions
was not none of his invention. He had no invention:
he was as stupid as they, in every thing but what
concerned the gettin making the most of customers. But
