Parochial Publicity Court 13 Justice - Hall The Church being wanted occasionally <add>frequently</add> for its appropriate
business, and and wanting failing in several particulars of
answering all the purposes of Justice can not be
applied constantly and exclusively to that purpose.
The apartment of the Judge will hold contain nothing
like a public: wherever money can be found there
should therefore be a building appropriated to this
important branch of service.
The structure of such a building would be nothing
less than indifferent. I know of no building extant unless it were a theatre I
could recommend as a model for the purpose. What
ought to be the ends in view in places edifices built for this
purpose have either been altogether overlooked, or
kept in subord sacrificed to the idle of splendour taste or magnificance.
I have committed to paper my notions ideas
relative to this the subject: this is not a place to repeat
them. No place built for a Court of Justice was
ever comparable to a theatre. Players if they do not
accommodate get auditors spectators get no money. Judges are paid get as
much all the same whether they have or have not auditors
