Ch. Prehension
§. Demurrage

1.
Art 1. By demurrage understand
here, stay at
any place; in consequence
of prehension.

2.
Art 2. Demurrage may be
1. Antecedental before
journey commenced
2. Contemparaneous
during the journey, or
3. Subsequential — after
arrival at the Justice
Chamber.

Art 3. Antecedental.
Causes of it are either
1. Causes of excuse for
non attendance in pursuance
of accersitive
Mandate as per Ch.
[ ] Accersition — or
2 Leave granted by Prehensor
at Prehendee's
request, for settlement
of his affairs.

4.
Art 4. Under Judge's
order received in each
individual instance,
Prehensor will allow
for this purpose such
demurrage time as
is consistent with the
regard due to the direct
ends of justice, and to
the pursuer and the
public in respect of
any attendant expence

Art 5. If it consists
with these regards, prehensor,
if the prehension
has place at a distance
from Prehendee's
habitation, will conduct
him thither for the above
purpose.

6.
Art 6. For the demurrage
during the journey,
sole legitimate excuse
those for non compliance
with accersition
Mandate, addressed to
Defendant or Witness,
which are as per Ch.
Formularies.

7.
Art 7. On every such
occasion, Prehensor, for
his justification, will
make record of the alledged
facts, taking the
signed attestation of
each witness.

§.6. Females regards due

1.
Art 1. Prehendee a female.
Judge as far as
circumstances admitt,
will reconcile with
the regards due to the
sex, the arrangements
necessary for the safe custody,
at the time of
prehension, or demurrage
before the journey,
through the journey,
and after arrival.

Art 2. In so doing, he
will have regard to
habits and expectations
from condition as to
marriage, pecuniary
circumstances and
education.

3.
Art 3. With the official
Prehensors, he may
give conjunct but
subordinate power
to a Prehensor, official
or occasional, of
the female sex.

4.
Art 4. Or sole power
where no danger of
rescue has place.

5.
Art 5. In each individual
case, he will,
if the circumstances
require it, give special
instructions in
writing to the Prehensor.
