Small bulk of this Code
as compared to Books of
practice a prima facie
presumption of its inadequacy

By the smallness of the quantity of literary/verbal utterance From the narrowness of the bulk of this proposed
Code a prima facie conception notion or say judgment which can scarcely fail of
being presented presenting itself is that of its inadequateness by which it will be pronounced inadequate. Such is the conception
which will naturally be presented Then by the view of the whole
together: and as naturally in no small degree with this primary conception
be confirmed supported and strengthened when it comes in proportion as to be observed
how small a proportion is borne by that portion of the complection in his character of it which
is simply and decidedly to that of the remainder composed it
is of the sort of matter respectively designated by the term denomination/appellation/attribution

As to the considerables by which this judgment will be
suggested they the source of them will of course be composed the prodigious number
of the Books of Practice (as they are called) extant, and the
