Caution which
they were obliged
to use in the attainment
of power

In the accomplishment of this object thus were they obliged
to proceed in a retard way and by short steps: taking money
no otherwise than by the sale made of their services to the parties
by for money in the shape of fees: and these fees considering the by reason of
pre poverty of the greatest part of the contributors, separately
taken unavoidably small . At the time indeed they had forced huge
profits; instead of picking up by dribbles in the shape of fees
they had begin r to work for themselves as they had been used
to do for the element and enforceable to their own use; while
estates at once to their own use; as they had been in the habit
of doing to his. This being in a reign of remarkable weakness
that of Henry the sixth, it was by this weakness that they were
probably emboldened to make so daring an experiment They
accordingly made it The experiment was accordingly made. But
though made with impunity, it was not made with success.
But success did not attend it though it was made with impunity —
a Parliament there was which though impotent and
disinclined with relation to any considerable good was still
willing ands able to prevent save all numbers and others from being the
estate shuttered up in the gulph which had been this Day for them.

for offences crimes of so much lighter a it is curious enough
