Procedure Code

Ch. Procedure its ends
S.

In existing system
profit yielding suits
maximized profitless
minimized

Now as to what in relation to this subject is
required by the actual ends of judicature; required sought with
more or less energy and effect in the every as yet known
system of judicature, but with most of all by the
English

In regard to the number of suits the ends of judicature
as above explained that the number of Lawyers profits yielding
such the sincere or and insincere no matter in what proportion be maximized.
Of that of profitless suits minimized.

6
Profit yielding suits maximization
Reason — the case
speaks for itself

Thus the number of Lawyers profit yielding suits
be maximized? why? Because — but as to the cause the case speaks
for itself: lawyer labour and lawyers profit proportionate

7
Profitless minimized
— Reason labour
no profit to Lawyers

That the number of profitable suits be minimized?
why? Because for every such suit then would lawyers
labour if any were employed, if such as were employed and as lawyers profit to
sweeten it.

8
So it will be as long
as Judges not paid by
the public

The lawyers whose only pay profit if any comes from the parties
and could not be compelled to serve the parties would of course
if the inducement were taken away, have their backs to and escape
from the service. State of Judges if paid by the public, and
on condition of not receiving any thing from the parties, would
their interest and inclination would of course prompt them to
wish that of suits so circumstanced thus the number should be minimized:
but they could not as the lawyers could,
so far as regarded suits in which if instituted they would have
been concerned, reduce it to nothing.

9
By law profityieldingless
suits reduced

By low fees to taxes profitless suits are
reduced, but lawyers profit yielding such in a certain proportion reduced
with them By low fees, profitless suits are reduced, then such lawyer profit yielding
suits
suits are reduced, yet in
so far as limits are
set to rapacity by procedure
the balance on the profit
side is encreased
