Art. Of the substantive branch of the law take in its utility

Direct ends positive &

The direct end to acquire distinguishable and desirable

of engaging him to give execution and effect to any portion

every case in which the service demanded by the pursuer at the

For if wherever and in so far as in virtue of the ordinance made for that purpose in consideration
of the vexation and expence to which he by the demand so
made at his charge the Defendant has been subjected, any prize
in any shape on account of satisfaction is due to the Defendant,
