what

Art. IV By falsity irrelevant understand the case
where though the assertion is tinged tainted with falsity, the falsity is
such that supposing the other parts of the statement true, the
ground of the application will not be the less valid. In this case
it may be either blameless, precarious, insecure or incidious

How compleatly so ever irrelevant, it may still be not the
less fit to be noted, as well for the purpose of the principal one
as affecting the trustworthiness of the application, nor opposed
to any statement by a defendant, as for the purpose of
constituting a ground for punishment, as above.
