(7 §.4. Purposes

Art. 14. Absenteeship
damage — i.e. for want
of proprietary care:
proprietor, known or unknown
distant; no
other person present
with sufficient authority
and inclination
to prevent the damage.
Example
1. Agricultural produce
perishing for want of
gathering in.
2. Livestock perishing
for want of sustenance
3. Perishable stock perishing
for want of care
or sale.

Also To Local Headmen
as per Ch. XXV1. §.

application be made.

Art. 14 Purpose By the absenteeship damage preventive
purpose understand that which has place where is in view
liable to have place damage for want of proprietary care: the
proprietor, being absent known or unknown, distant from the spot has the property,
in question no person having no other person at hand with sufficient authority
to take charge of it in such manner as to prevent or stop the da
and inclination to prevent the damage. being Examples are
1. Agricultural produce perishing for want of being gathered
in.
2. Agricultural livestock perishing for want of
sustenance.
3. Perishable stock in crate perishing for want of
appropriate care or sale.

For this purpose also application may also be made to
the Local Headman, as per Ch. XXVI. §§ Damage preventive
function.
