Nothing entered on the
record of what is done
on Defendant's side but
what is done in consequence
of a Demand Paper

Art. Although by the present supposition the a
Suit may and does and is accordingly supposed to have received
its promotion in the course of the same hearing as that
in which it was commenced in which case what is done on
the defendants side will heave to be entered in the record as
well as what is done on the part of the pursuers side.
Yet on this occasion for greater distinctness, it may be better advisable
not to exhibit any thing of what is done will or may have required
to be done on the defendant's side: reserving that for the case
which will manifestly be by most the now ordinary case,
namely that in which nothing is done on the Defendants
side until by in consequence of a appropriate mandate offered by the Judge
he has and attend paid his attendance at the
Judicatory, before the Judge; and those as the Pursuer exception excepted, being present at the time.

Demand paper for it

Art. Here then will follow the Demand paper
containing the entries that will require to be made on the part of
the pursuer whose and he being the person and the only person whose
discourse it is considered as containing. Of For any portion of
discourse which in consequence of it may have had to be made
on the pur Defendant's side as and for the discourse of a Defendant
or a number of Co-Defendants will be exhibited on the occasion at the time
on which in consequence of a an appropriate mandate from the Judge
the Defendant or Defendants in the more accustomed manner
at a subsequent stage part of the sa suit make their appearance
on the stage scene
