The Informer never ought to have the whole

he has, the offender sets up a friend of his own

(a) This there is no preventing: because if a man
has a mind to make neither a present of so much
money there is no preventing him. You may press
an amenable informer on with his suit: but when
his suit is over and come to a conclusion & he has got the penalty you can
not prevent his doing what he pleases with it
