Provisions for securing assuring the perseverance in
prosecutions until execution.
Where the Deft is acquitted upon [proof of] an
alibi the Court may [upon the petition of the
prosecutor shall] order appoint a new trial.
Who to accuse?
Where there are several persons who demand
at this same time to be received as accusers, the
Court shall choose between them: and when it
appoints one it shall take down the designations
of the rest to the intent end that in case the
first fail another may take his place
The Court may if they think proper
[ employ] lots in determining which of
a number of candidates shall be admitted is accuser.
