Respect to be paid to Judges

the Judge may continue him in prison as long as he
thinks proper by renewing his order from week to week:
provided that no such order of renewal be dated more
than two days before the execution of it is to commence.

No person is to be discharged from such a commitment
without making his submission in manner following.
He shall kneel down on both knees and fold
his hands together. In that attitude he shall continue
while the order of commitment is read to him: Thereupon
after that the Judge shall have said what he
thinks proper in the way of admonition to the Offender
and the Audience, the Judge and the Offender shall address
one another to the following effect:

Judge.

"What have you to say for yourself in order to merit
the forgiveness of the Court?"

Offender

Worshipful Reverend Sir or My Lord (or whatever else be the Judge's
Title) I see my error. I acknowledge the justice of my
punishment
