Void — with its synonym null and the quasi-conjugate
of the synonym null and nullity
These locutions are but so many devices for masking intentional
injustice. The devices consist in ascribing to the suit speaking of the
of the in question ungrounded will of the Judge as the
result of a quality in the act itself of the parties, where
as the consequence given to that act is the pr result mere act of the
Judge. The declaration of the that the act in question is void
is something more than an intimation that the Judge will
not give effect to it. That effect which the parties concerned
can not be in expectation of: for the disappointment
