The Master of the Rolls: An intelligent person would be
able to settle the whole matter in a fortnight.

Mr Sugden proposed, with a view to the saving of
expence, that the trustees should in future proceedings
be restrained from appearing by such an array of Solicitors
and Counsel as had already swallowed up the
greater part of this unlucky estate.

The Master of the Rolls: The expences of the case have
been most horrible. If the facts, connected with it, were
to be given to the world, they would certainly excite
a strong sensation in the public mind, in regard to
the administration of justice in the Courts of Equity.

After some further discussion, some disputed
points were arranged between the Counsel in Court,
and others referred to the Master for investigation.
