Arguments pro
Objections answered
Private Argument

Objection 1. System of Judicature too costly.
Answer. Some three Preferable to a ju so extensive a denial of justice would
be 1. reduction of the expense of maintaining distant dependencies
2. the splendour and lustre of the crown
3. Sinecure money expended in paying the Ministers of Religion
for doing nothing
4 utterances cessation of the printer of greeting

Objection 2 The proposition inapposite and inadequate
Answer
1. There is no presumptive objection so long as no other set of
propositions is brought forward by any body
2. Nor yet would it be if other sets of propositions are or never
are brought forward: for in that case there would be competition,
and choice to be made as between each one of the competing documents
and every other, as to the whole of each and every
distinguishable and corresponding part of each

Objection 3. It Taken in its totality the task is too great a task for the human person.
Answer 1. Antecedently to experience no one can be warranted
in pronouncing the task too great. In the As to the assertion that it is So far as regards its being too great
for his own powers he has a good right to be believed: but it is
too much for him to claim assent to when he attributes the
same incapacity to every other member of the community

2. The task is no other than what has been undertaken and
with different degrees of success executed in most of the other countries
and political states of Europe

4. Howsoever difficult the task may be at present, it will
by any means of delay be rendered still more and more difficult.
For the mass of matter having or alledged to have the force of
law wil is growing every moment more extensive, more complicated
more replete with inconsistencies, more confused, more difficult
to see out to see through to form a judgment of and apply any beneficial amendments to.
