men of law in the form of jurisprudential law under the influence of the technical system? contrary to

Contrary to law? as if it was in the nature of the case
that any exercise of judicial power, carried on for ages under the
eye and without the concern of the legislative meaning have by legislature
the supreme power in the State, that any practice howsoever mischievous, carried on by such
hands and under such eyes, could be otherwise than according
to law. Contrary to law this abuse? Oh Not as it noticed: it is
all of it according to law: indisputably indubitably according to law: and
in that conformity consists the magnitude oppressiveness of the grievance.
According to law and as such will ever be unresistingly
howsoever reluctantly submitted to, by every good subject, by every
enlightened lover of mankind, so long as it continues, for were
it ever so much more burthensome the mischief of submission,
the known and definite mischief of submission would never be
approach to an equality with the mischief the indefinite infinite
fathomless mischief of resistance.
