Law Amendment. Propositions
Beginning

By reiteration men come to believe in their own falshoods
to deem themselves as which labouring to deceive others they would do others. Thus, Praised for
what ever they do, they care not what it is

14
By reiteration they are
themselves deceived by
this eulogy

15
But little by little praise
for what is right will
be more cared for than
for what is wrong

Self will to the always end of time be predominates: little by
little, praise for limited to what is right more for what is wrong, increase this
influence, self cares more and more for neighbours: neighbourhood
expand itself till at length it covers the whole globe

16
Illusion in boasted
independence of Judges

Under the existing system. one man boast is the independence
of Judges: and the hand of them all be by who they
are all placed is discharged at pleasure: and as many
as have hands have hands open to the receipt of favours

17
Independence the boast
& independence would be
despotism

Independence is the grand boast: which yet independence would
be despotism, and whatever that al check is applied to
misconduct is applied not by independence, butby dependence

18
Euthanasia depends
surely on the gentleness
of the death

Euthanasia To of the Constitution of this realm, is ever and anon euthanasia

is looked to for euthanasia by some in the Spanish, by others in the American
mode: of deaths that surely is the best mode which is the
gentlest acted and suffered and performed with least struggle.

19
To the vital parts of the
Constitution the proposed
system does not apply

To those which are commonly regarded as the oiled parts
of the Constitution the proposed system does not extendapply itself

20
If the interests of the few
are entitled to preference
it may those of the
many may not be
without a claim to
notice

If the interest of the ruling one, or of the ruler few is of both together
have are intitled to preference the interest of the vast aggregate body of the
subject many may still perhaps be regarded as not altogether without a
claim to notice.

Warmed by prudence, indignation has ever and anon sought
relief in pleasantry. Propositive such as will have be seen there which follows could not
have received existence, had the comfort and misery of so many
millions been matters of indifference.
