Rebellion.
High Treason, Rebellions any not done in the intention of
persisting in maintaining one's self in op disobedience to the Supreme power
by open force.
By the supreme power is meant the persons exercising
the supreme power for the time being.
The Riot Act in it's design a Law against Rebellion.
So the Law against tumultuous petitioning.
Rebellion x Treason.
Punishm:t
Rebels are more hated not than despised. Traitors are more as
much despised as hated.
Rebels then
Traitors therefore may be punished as Malefactors
with aggravated death. Rebels ought only to be
punished as enemies with simple death. With
Death rather as the most effectual kind of disablement
than in any other view. Disablement being
in evolved nations at war the only end of combat.
