Further, it may be observed that whereas
in some concatenated Offences the Connection
between the Principals and some Accessories is so
intimate that not only it is always clear from the
Accessory's having been done, if precedent, that the
principal would be, or if subsequent that it had
been done, but it also e converso from the Principal
having been done that the Accessory had been done
if precedent, would be done if subsequent, in others
this Conversion holds not good. — Thus, to resume
our first Example, if a Man, as in the Accessory
of the first Remove, offers base Money to another
it is sufficiently clear that he would have put it
off, so likewise e converso if he had put it off, it is
certain he must have offered it: — Again if, as in
that of the 2d Remove, he has it (knowing it
as such) in his Possession, it is sufficiently clear
