CH....PARTS of a LAW - Laws SUBSTANTIVE and ADJECTIVE.
Adjective only, but a whole Chain of Adjective
ones, although for sake of simplicity of the Example
one has only been hitherto supposed — Thus to the
Law against Theft are adapted a complex string
of Laws in the Character of Adjective from that
empowering a Justice of Peace to issue his Warrant
of his Apprehension, through the several Stages of
Process in the proper Courts, down to that empowering
the Executioner to do his Office.
Besides however the grand & general Systems
of Laws of the adjective kind, what under the
Title of the Practice of Courts, are applied to a
Multitude of Substantives in common, it is not
unfrequent for a substantive Law to have a
peculiar Adjective, or a lesser System of Adjective
ones of it's own; instead of, or over & above the general
one — Thus As the Substantive Law inflicting a
Certain Fine for killing of Partridges out of season,
instead of being trusted for its execution to the ordinary System of
Adjective ones i.e. the common Train of Proceedings
in
