EXEMPTIONS.
In treating of the causes of Exemption, it
will conduce to satisfaction to consider together
will those which all such as have had preclusions to this title
whether those pretensions have been commonly
admitted or rejected — The principles upon
which justify the admission of some is justified
will give without difficulty the reason
why others are rejected.
Whether the conclusion
be in favour
of their admission
or their rejection
The observations which
seem to justify the
1st sense

seem to shew why
others are in the latter
competent or
incompetent.
The causes that have been proposed, whether
sufficient or insufficient, may be divided
into 2 classes — 1st of such as arise on
the part of the Agent. [Which is the most
numerous] 2dly such as arise on the part
of the object.
