This might be the a good reason, if the influence
of a decision were in the least defined by its not
being in print. This is not the case.
Pleader says "I have a note of my own, to such and such a purpose say a
Pleader, of my own, or a note communicated to
him by such or such a friend" — This note is
as good as altogether as if it were in
print, and if there be any difference, has
still greater effect. The Pleader is probably
well known to the Judge
