Of Justifications.
other Officer of Justice in pursuance of his authority, is done
with lawful cause.
Enforcing authoritative Execution or process upon Goods. So, if resistance be made to a Warrant authorizing
any thing to be done to a man's property, is any thing
which being done to any man's person is necessary to overcome
any resistance made (or offered to be made) to any
person concerned in executing Such warrant.
Spontaneous Arrest for Crimes. So, any person whatsoever may apprehend any
one who is committing or attempting to commit, or who
within a certain time has committed any first or second
rate crime : and certain criminals if they cannot otherwise
be apprehended may be killed. See Law of

Spontaneous Arrest for Misdemeanours. There are certain cases in which offenders who are
guilty of misdemeanours only may be apprehended without
warrant. See Law of Arrests. Book of Precedure.

Enforcing spontaneous Seizure of Goods There are also certain cases in which goods may be
seized or disposed of in a particular manner by any
one without warrant; and in which consequently any
thing may be done to the persons of any who oppose the
seizure, so it be necessary to overcome their opposition.
