Circumstances in which the efficacy of it depends. In such case the extenuation is the more forcible
in proportion to
1. The simplicity and weakness of the Inferior.
2. The dependence he is under to the Superior.
3. The force with which the influence is exerted.
4. The apparent slightness of the offence to which
he is urged.
