2. For Extracts, or Certified Official Copies from the Register of the Great Seal, the Register of the Privy Seal, the Register of Signatures, the Register of Decreets of the Court of Session, the Register of Abbreviates of Adjudication, the Register of Tailzies, and the Register of Deeds, in the Books of Council and Session, or any other Registers not here specified, or from the Warrants of any of those several Registers, there shall be charged per sheet of three hundred words or under, as the case may be, a fee of five shillings.
N.B. These fees are exclusive of stamp duties and fees of writing; but the customary fee of five shillings shall not be charged.
V. - Excerpts. Fore Excerpts, or Copies from any Register or Document, whether complete or partial, and not certified, there shall be charged in addition to the fee the inspection of the Record or Warrant, a fee at the rate of sixpence per sheet of four hundred words.
VI. - Making of Books of Record. For every book duly marked, and issued to the Keepers of Public Records, returnable to this office, consisting of six quires, or two hundred and eighty-eight sheets, there shall be charged a fee of two pound fifteen shillings, and proportionally for volumes of greater or lesser size. For every book marked and issued to Sheriff Clerks and Clerks of Burghs, in terms of the Act 49 Geo. III. cap. there shall be charged, in terms of that Act, a fee of five shillings.
N.B. These fees are exclusive of the prime cost of the books, for which, and for corresponding minute books, no more than the prime cost shall be charged.
VII. - Marking Discharges, &c. For the marking of a Discharge on the margin of the Register of Inhibitions, Adjudications, &c. there shall be charged a fee of two shillings and sixpence.
VIII. - Election of Peers. For trouble and attendance prior to and at the election of a Peer, and recording the proceedings, there shall be charged, as heretofore, a fee of five guineas, and preparing and making the return a further fee of five guineas, being an all ten guineas.
