In the of those suggestions I undertook to
submitt my view of what respecting what ought it is desirable
that
are the objects towards which it is desirable that the your
Enquiry should be directed: meaning by objects the ends
in view.

But here I observe what meets my eye at the outset is a distinction which requires
to be made between "the Law of England respecting real property"
"and the various interests there", on the one hand, and the methods and
"forms of estimating" it on the other surveying and transferring
the same, and of assuring the titles thereto on the
other. By "the methods and forms" I understand the
several sorts of operations and written instruments employed in the conveyancing business. By the Law of England respecting that
Property and various interests therein, I understand the
rule of action whereby, it having the force of laws those various
interests are established and disposed of: the general rule of action namely as
to every thing over and above what is already included or
composed of those same
methods and forms,
that is to say whatsoever
is capable of being conceived
and expressed
without reference to those
same numbers and forms, or operation and
written instruments.

Of the operations and instruments in question
I shall speak in the first place: because in this case the
desirable ends in view are capable of being indicated
with much considerably more facility than those of the Rule of action
considered in those its others other and principal parts of it above alluded
to.

The word desirable is a word of reference: by it
reference is made to the classes or say descriptions of persons by
whom it is likely that, in respect of the concern they
manner in which their interests would be affected by it
the choice of their sincere objects is likely to be will naturally be made.

Now in this case they are two classes of persons
concerned in point of interest: and so it that is to way on the one
part the parties to from him and to whom the property is transferred in one word lay-gents
in the one part, and their respective professional assistants, in the other part.
