If not his must be the consolation which was once a greater man's sense & Deo immatali
The Makers and Ministers Interpreters of the Law have holden that the
Workman who without sufficient warning given lets fall a
stone which kills a Passenger in the way is guilty to be holden guilty either of
is answerable criminally for his negligence
Manslaughter of his blood or Murder. It were well would they remember keep in mind

no sufficient warning have yet been given methods have yet been taken to warn them
that they may escape it's fall - To point out the course

engender in their judgements this expiditing Aphorism that

With equal propriety might the Surgeon while his patient
lay at the Hospital, shut himself up in his closet, pour
balsams and twine bandages in the air, then sally forth complain the limb grew worse and
for amputation worse munanomously for the worse .

Against so fatal and invertirate an infatuation it is
not sufficient to declaim; while the means of information, -
tho' obvious in the general have never as yet been printed out
in the detail that observation remains still a pretence -
wherewith remonstrances may be opposed.
