Were the actual object real design of this letter thus extensive comprehensive, and thus
accordingly by that means thus indiscriminate, it would be concluded
as soon as it were begun: or rather there would have been
no occasion for so much as beginning it, it would have
been action agree: and moreover it would have been
virtually included in my proposed third head – Facienda.

The actual design however being much less comprehensive
will unfortunately require more many words to execute it.

The existing system being supposed to remain unchanged
in the general tenor and leading features characteristics – required to
point out for extirpation some of the most mas prominent
and pernicious of its .

I had almost said notorious notoriously pernicious: for such in truth
are for the most part those to the only ones on which it seems worthwhile
on this occasion to bestow any separate notice. But the mischievousness being
notorious if then being already notorious, why is bestow words as pointing them out?
In truth there can be no other use in it than the
in the first place the collecting them in a bundle, in the next
place the placing the mischievousness of them in a light
perhaps somewhat stronger and more striking than they might
have been viewed otherwise.
