never receive the Tolls themselves, but by Tollgatherers
deputable by them to be approved of & dischargeable

be bound to the same duties as one appointed in the common
course.

24 § 43. New.

Such deputyies shall cause to be enter'd in a Book
an account of each day's Receipts separately or [+] [+] without reasonable excuse to be verified on Oath on pain of
not more than . . . & not less than . . . for every
day omitted: & shall permitt the Clerk, or any 2 Trustees
providing if both of them be unknown to the Tollgatherer an order signed by the Clerk specifying
their names & that they are Trustees, to inspect
such accounts at all reasonable hours, on penalty
of not more than . . . nor less than . . . for
every time of refusal." each refusal.

speech.]"
