5 Horses &c Number of Hills Notwithstanding Article XXIII such number of Beasts may
be used for drawing up hills within such limits as Trustees
with the allowance of the Quarter Sessions shall according to Art. have appointed, not exceeding so far broadwheeled Carriages nor & for narrow wheeled.

6 Horses &c Number Snow—Ice— Also any number may be employ'd in such parts of any —
road where by reason of deep Snow, Ice, or [Floods] carriages
can not be drawn with the weights allowed+ Art
By the number of Beasts allowed || By Artdeleted text and the —
Magistrate being satisfied by the Oaths of 2 Witnesses of
the existence of such impediment, shall dismiss such prosecution,
& forthwith cause whatever may have hath been seized
on account thereof to be restored.

TOLL Exemptions Broad-wheels. Six-Inch Wheels Husbandry No exemptions from Toll granted for either total or partial any by
particular Acts made grantable granted <add>by Carriages of Burthen particular kinds of loading</add> shall henceforth be valid, but
for Broad Wheeled Carriages: & Burthen Except for 6 Inch-Wheeled—
Carts drawn by no more than 2 Horses, or what is equivalent & for any Carts
employed in carrying Corn or Grain in the Straw, Hay, Fodder,
Dung, Lime for the improvement of Land, or other Manure
or other Implements of Husbandry only.

TOLL Exemption Fraud Whoso taketh the benefit of any exemption by Fraud shall
forfeit not more than £5.. nor less than £2 [or shall —
suffer imprisonment for not more than weeks
nor less than a Month.
